How Does Acupuncture Work?

Step 1: Initial Consultation (15-20 minutes)
We'll discuss your health concerns, medical history, and treatment goals. Our licensed acupuncturist will examine your tongue and pulse to assess your condition according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles.
Step 2: Treatment Plan Discussion (5 minutes)
Based on your consultation, we'll explain the recommended acupuncture points and treatment approach tailored to your specific needs.
Step 3: Acupuncture Treatment (30-45 minutes)
You'll relax comfortably while sterile, single-use needles are gently inserted at specific points. Most patients find the experience deeply relaxing. Needles remain in place for 20-30 minutes while you rest.
Step 4: Post-Treatment Guidance (5 minutes)
We'll provide aftercare instructions and discuss the recommended frequency of follow-up sessions for optimal results.
Step 1: Get your custom formula
See our TCM practitioner to receive your own custom formula, or bring a raw herb prescription from a licensed TCM practitioner. We weigh and prepare the herbs accordingly.
Step 2: We cook & pack
Your formula is decocted using commercial equipment, then filtered, portioned, and vacuum-sealed into ready-to-drink pouches.
Step 3: Pick up or have it shipped
Choose in-store pickup or have your herbal pouches shipped directly to you. Simply warm in hot water and follow your prescribed dosage.
